The shifter supplied is the CableShifter by Brandwood.

The shifter itself seems to be pretty well made but the instructions that come with it are sparse. Hopefully you’ll be able to benefit from the many hours of trial and error and potentially the fabrication I had to do to make this shifter work up to my standards.  Mind you - I’m a picky guy and if it isn’t “right” it doesn’t go onto one of my cars.  If you review all the pages on this website and others that I link to - you’ll see that I have a tendency to over-engineer almost everything. That’s just my way and it suites me fine..  :)

The G50/03 and this shifter kit were not meant for each other as you’ll see. 

Take a look at the cable geometry with the Brandwood supplied bracket and Shift-rod lever and I think you’ll agree that it would bind and wear quickly.
